**Description**:
A Personal Care Assistant (PCA) / Disability Support Worker provides essential support to individuals who require assistance with daily activities due to illness, disability, or aging. Their responsibilities typically include helping clients with tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and transportation. PCAs may also provide companionship and emotional support to clients, helping to enhance their quality of life and independence. Depending on the specific needs of the client, PCAs may work in various settings such as private homes, assisted living facilities, or healthcare institutions. They play a vital role in enabling individuals to maintain their dignity, autonomy, and overall well-being.
**Skills and Experiences**:
Minimum of Certificate III in Individule Support, Strong communication skills, First Aid and CPR Certification, NDIS Workers Screening, National Police Clearance, Working With Children Check, Dependability and Reliability, Empathy and Compassion
