Disability Support Worker

Disability Support Worker:

- Work on a flexible 24/7 roster on the Sunshine Coast
- Must be available for sleepovers, weekends, and day-time support
- Disability experience required, experience with positive behaviour support preferred
- One role includes PEG feeding and hoisting, training provided
- Induction and on-the-job training provided

Your Role:
Your role is to empower your clients to live the life of their choice by providing day-to-day support, both at home and in the community. This includes:

- Achieving goals: Developing personable, but professional relationships with your clients to understand and help them achieve their personal life goals
- Personal care: Supporting your clients in maintaining personal hygiene such as toileting, showering, grooming etc.
- Medication administration and health management: Following medication and health care plans, epilepsy management etc.
- Mealtime support and domestic duties: Cooking, cleaning and general household duties
- Team player: Work within a small team to ensure the best outcomes to the people we support
- Excellent communication skills: Communicate regularly and professionally with your team and management to ensure the best outcomes for workplace culture and satisfaction

Before you commence, you will require:

- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Blue Card (Working With Children Card)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities)
- Certificate III qualification in a relevant field, or working towards or higher
- Covid19 Infection Control Certificate

**Salary**: $29.89 - $38.08 per hour
