Gold Coast, Australia Coastal Care Disability Services Full time

Coastal Care Disability Services is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Casual Disability Support Worker with extensive experience in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join our team. As a disability support worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and care to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety, independence, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Providing direct support to clients with disabilities, including personal care, domestic assistance, community access, and social and recreational activities.
- Managing challenging behavior's and implementing behavior support plans for clients with ASD.
- Encouraging and promoting independence and social interaction.
- Promoting and supporting the clients' physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
- Monitoring and documenting clients' progress and reporting any changes or concerns to the team.

Key Requirements:

- Extensive experience in working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Demonstrated experience in supporting individual plans and behaviour support plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- A valid Yellow Card and Blue Card
- Your own transport and insurance
- Must speak fluent English for this client.

This role is casual with varying shifts, including weekends, evenings, and overnight stays. As the position requires working with vulnerable people.

**Salary**: $31.00 - $65.00 per hour
