**Requirements**:
- Experience with challenging behaviours preferred.
- Shift times: days, evenings and active overnight.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Morning, afternoon and night shift available across a rotating roster
- Adjustable in your approach. We are employed solely to meet the needs of our participant's.
- Assisting people with activities of daily life, such as personal hygiene needs, and self care
- Performing home-based tasks such as food preparation and housework
- Undertaking tasks outside the home such as grocery shopping, appointments etc
- Supporting various programs of social activities
- Work with both participant and their support network to provide the best possible care. Working within complex family dynamics is often part of the role
- Make it your business to get to know the client, reviewing all relevant documentation and support plan information
- Support participants to express their views, raise concerns, make complaints and report incidents. Promote independece in all aspects of life
- Escalate any concerns to the leadership team regarding particpnat or work safety
- Accurate record keeping as per the organisation's and NDIA requirements
**Qualification and other Requirement**:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening
- First Aid Certificate
- Driver’s License
- Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Police Check
- Mobile Phone (although this number will not be provided to the participants)
- A formal certificate may not be required if the individual has relevant experience and skills - recommended qualifications Certificate III in Individual Support, Mental Health, Aged Care, Community Services, Disability Work or similar.
**Experience**:
- **Preferred** minimum six months relevant experience (this can be within health or disability)
- Experience supporting people with disability
- Demonstrated continuing professional development
**Skills**:
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with various ages, cultures and ability levels
- Ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- Excellent problem solving and conflict management skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain good working relationships
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
**Salary**: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
