Head of Investment Operations

**Overview**

The Head of Investment Operations is responsible for managing the people, processes and systems supporting Link Fund Solutions Investment Operations team which provides middle and back office outsourcing services to investment managers and financial institutions. The role involves the day-to-day management of the team, design and implementation of new products and services as well as managing client deliverables.

**Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities**
- Manage and develop the Investment Operations team.
- Build a high performing and accountable team focused on client service delivery, operational risk management, product and service knowledge.
- Coach, mentor and develop the team.
- Partner with business sponsors on business initiatives to develop new products and services for clients.
- Manage the daily delivery of services to clients driven by client SLA’s and KPI’s.
- Develop a deep understanding of each client to ensure the firm is well placed for the provision of solutions and client service.
- Implement effective governance for business and systems changes within the team.
- Manage the delivery of small projects and business change within Investment Operations team.
- Define quality objectives and standards for the Investment Operations team to measure and monitor client service delivery to KPIs and SLAs.
- Identify, monitor, analyse and control business unit costs and outcomes to ensure they meet financial objectives.
- Create risk mitigation strategies to anticipate, assess and resolve client service delivery.
- Promote a culture of risk and compliance awareness.

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- 10+ years of financial service industry knowledge and experience from within the custody, investment administration or investment management industries.
- Strong financial product experience with an in-depth knowledge of securities / assets settlements, trade flow and custody of assets.
- Good working knowledge of corporate actions, mandate compliance and investment performance reporting.
- Ability to lead multiple and diverse teams across various operational disciplines.
- Exceptional leadership skills and capabilities - strong people leader.
- Risk management experience with a focus on development of controls.
