**How will I Help?**

Reporting to the General Manager, Group Operations, the Head of Mortgage Operations leads a broad operational team of approximately 2,750 to deliver operations excellence in servicing the key Westpac Group brands and their customers. You will be responsible for the effective operational management of the function and have a critical accountability to motivate and inspire people, driving collaboration with key business partners, harnessing commitment to the overall goals and vision of the business, whilst driving a culture of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Support the Line of Business (LOB) Leader in driving enhanced operational performance.
- Develop and implement an integrated strategy and business plan to drive the highest level of customer satisfaction and achieve commercial objectives.
- Support development and execution of change initiatives, including driving process simplification digitalisation, engineering and automation partnering with the Simplification and Digitalisation COE.
- Role model leadership across the team to develop and sustain a high-performing team that is focused on strategic priorities and sustained execution.
- Oversee the end-to-end operational processes, including optimal operating models, location, resourcing, functioning and situation management to meet business requirements such as customer service levels, transaction volumes and cost efficiency.

**What do I need?**
- Exceptional communications skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and connect a diverse range of people through clear and engaging communication.
- 15+ years in the financial sector with strong financial sector market knowledge and experience in a similar Operations role.
- A strategic approach with highly developed analytical ability and complex problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience in managing key client relationships at a senior level.
- Agile and lean project capabilities and methodologies.
