**About the role**

Mater Education has an exciting opportunity for an experienced **RTO Educator** to join our Industry leading Registered training organisation. This role will be primarily focused on the delivery and assessment activities related to the **Diploma of Nursing** and the **Simulation Team** at within the South East Queensland Region.

This is an **initial fixed term contract for 12 months, working 38 hours per week** with possibility for extension and consideration given to Part Time. This opportunity will require ability to work Mondays to Saturdays.

**What you’ll be doing**

The RTO Educator is responsible for student management and is accountable for ensuring excellence in educational outcomes within the resource constraints of the organisation and in the context of our mission and values. They will plan, develop and deliver education and training within the Registration Training Organisation and other related training courses.

Your key duties will include but will not be limited to:

- Plan, prepare and deliver training according to program requirements including workplace, online or classroom, and/or a combination of each when they are scheduled.
- Provide flexible training and assessment strategies suited to the learning needs of individual students.
- Deliver and assess participants within classroom, simulation and workplace experience environments.
- Evaluate and monitor student progress throughout the course, providing appropriate support as needed.
- Manage assessment of student competence throughout the course, providing sufficient constructive feedback to promote positive outcomes.
- Seek appropriate assistance if students have learning or literacy difficulties, or disabilities.
- Ensure all deliveries are fully compliant with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015, CRICOS, or subsequent regulatory framework.
- Manage students administratively according to Mater Education’s procedures within the student management system (SMS) and learning management system (LMS).
- Attend and contribute to team meetings, open days, expos and information nights as required.
- Provide a learning environment with mínimal risk to staff and students by meeting Workplace Health and Safety benchmarks
- Actively participate in validation of assessments through the moderation process
- Undertake professional development to maintain currency in vocational and teaching practices and clinical expertise

**About you**

To be considered for this role, applicants will possess the below qualifications and experience:

- Relevant qualification related to Nursing
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse without restrictions
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or higher
- Current Drivers Licence
- Valid Police Check
- TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (desirable)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the relevant industry
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience in the VET sector
- Detailed understanding of the relevant profession and accreditation requirements
- Knowledge/experience working within an RTO environment
- Sound knowledge and experience compliance regarding AHPRA and ASQA
- Enthusiastic individual who is highly knowledgeable in the relevant industry
- Proactively identifies student and business needs and proposes value-adding solutions
- Strong adherence and acknowledgment of Policies and Procedures and industry requirements
- Ability to work well with peer educators and as part of a team
