Excellent opportunity for a Treasury Finance Graduate to join the Metcash Group Treasury team who are responsible for managing all financial risks in Metcash, including funding, cashflow management, foreign exchange and interest rate risk and insurance. The graduate will be primarily responsible for settlements of treasury instruments, the preparation of accounting journals and reconciling balance sheet accounts as they relate to treasury and insurance.

What you’ll do

Check bank confirmations for all treasury products.
Arrange for settlement of all treasury transactions and other high value or ad-hoc payments.
Checking and posting all treasury journals from Kyriba (treasury management system) into D365.
Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations related to treasury or insurance transactions.
Processing of month end treasury tasks including posting interest accruals, mark to market valuations for derivatives and inter-company loans and FX.
Assist in the preparation of treasury related disclosures in the financial statements.

What you’ll bring

Recent finance/business related degree.

Understanding of accounting principles.

Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate with people at all levels within the organisation.

Intermediate MS Office skills (MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, MS PowerPoint).

Interest in developing a career in corporate finance/financial markets and treasury risk management.

Planning to study for CA/CPA qualification.
