The Department of Treasury and Finance is at the centre of Government decision-making. As the principal economic and financial advisor, we provide leadership and strategic advice and influence to support the delivery of services and outcomes for the benefit of Western Australia.

The Role:
The Assistant Director Procurement Intelligence and Reporting (PIR) leads the development and presentation of insightful reports and dashboards for stakeholders and the development of services in the areas of data modelling and analysis relevant to whole of government procurement. The role provides specialist advice in contemporary data analysis and business intelligence modelling, reporting practices and data integrity. The role also champions the principles and tools of effective data analysis and reporting to customers and stakeholders to raise collective understanding and promote data-driven decision making.
This position operates in the context of Leading Others. This means you will be required to deliver results through leaders and your teams in a single business area, and by influencing leaders in other business areas. You will add value by providing direction and developing and coaching your leaders to achieve operational objectives. You will make decisions about how services should be provided based on the resources at hand.
Currently there is one (1) full-time, fixed-term appointment for 9 months available for filling, with the possibility of further extensions(s) and/or permanency.

In addition to technical competencies, to be successful in this role you will have highly developed stakeholder engagement and strategic leadership skills to build and maintain strong working relationships. You will demonstrate commitment to delivering value adding services to our customers and have a passion for driving business improvement as well as meaningful and positive change.
