**The Role**
The Assistant Director North-East and South Asia (ADNESA) will support the Director International Engagement-Air Force in managing and supporting outcomes of the Air Force International Engagement Plan leading the team managing the Air Force’s relationships with nations within the north-eastern and southern Asian regions (including India, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, and Japan) along with the Middle East.

Duties of the position include:

- Strategic analysis of international and regional events to manage and lead Desk Officers;
- Coordinating with other Air Force agencies to establish strategic messaging and priorities to inform Air Force engagements;
- Ensuring Air Force senior leadership receive support for key engagements and visits;
- Travel with senior leadership on overseas engagement activities;
- Liaise and coordinate across the Defence enterprise in support of engagement outcomes;
- Oversight of all Air Force international engagements events to ensure the Senior Leadership is prepared.

The Directorate manages Air Force to Air Force relationships across more than 20 countries, supports the Air Force Senior leaders for routine dialogues and other senior level engagements. In addition to supporting the overseas engagements of our Senior Leadership, IE-AF is also responsible for overseas positions and the overseas training courses.
