**What this opportunity involves**:
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a keen eye for legal documentation? Join our dynamic team at JLL as a Paralegal in our Work Dynamics business unit for the client Australia Post.
As a Paralegal, you'll work collaboratively with our Retail Leasing and Transaction Management team, client stakeholders, and external legal providers. Your primary focus will be supporting the timely turnaround of lease documentation for our national retail and industrial portfolio.
**An overview of the role**:
Complete legal documentation, including instructing, negotiating, certifying, and executing documents for leasing transactions
Comply with processes and policies related to negotiations, documents, and critical client requirements
Manage deadlines, escalate and mitigate risks as they arise
Maintain awareness of external solicitor fixed fee scope and manage legal negotiation costs
Generate and reconcile purchase orders and coordinate payment of legal invoices
Update and maintain the online paralegal database and files, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness
Handle lease interpretations and disputes as required
Certify documents for client execution, confirming accuracy and compliance with policies
Assist with reporting, analysis, and attend meetings as needed
Support a culture of innovation and contribute to process improvements
**Sound like you? This is what we’re looking for**:
Legal or property qualifications and/or experience within a firm or retail 'landlord/tenant' organisation
Demonstrated understanding of leases or contracts, ideally gained in the property or legal industry
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate data
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting contracts and leases
Ability to work efficiently under tight operational and financial deadlines
Adaptability and willingness to embrace change
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
