The Division of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Student Experience (DVCESE) has prioritised the implementation of a best-in-class lead management system (technology, data, processes & target operating model) to manage individual prospects throughout their UNSW experience, from the moment of anonymous engagement up until enrolment into a program. This investment forms a central part of the Future Student Recruitment strategy and is crucial for achieving enrolment targets, competing with other institutions, and attracting lifelong learners.
The Lead Management project is primarily a business program lead by the Future Students team, but also involves significant technical components related to the deployment of a CDP, a Sales CRM module within the existing Microsoft Insights CRM suite, and data integrations. The program will be executed in alignment with the Student Experience Roadmap program, led by the IT Architecture Solutions, and stakeholders across DVCESE.
The Program Manager, Lead Management will be responsible for vendor management, ensuring schedules, timelines and budgets are adhered to and will assist the business in securing and managing funding for the planned program of work.
The Program Manager reports to the Program Lead and has 2 direct reports, with a dotted reporting line to the Director EPMO.
**Responsibilities Summary**:
- Provide strategic leadership and advice and lead the operational delivery of the Lead Management program, including ongoing management of scope, risks and issues, control, monitor and report end to end program status.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including decisions, actions and outcomes while also reporting regularly on project status, milestones and variances to University leadership and other critical stakeholders.
- Manage key relationships with program stakeholders on the working group and steering committee, the program sponsor and various senior business leaders.
- Drive collaboration to align critical key stakeholders with diverse objectives to agree and adopt the technology strategy and new solutions.
- Manage external vendors and consultants, ensuring deliverables meet agreed-upon standards and terms, and implementing any early corrective measures if issues arise.
- Ensure risk and issue management processes are actively managed; ensures controls to mitigate key program risks are in place and mitigation strategies are driven to an acceptable resolution; monitor and manage dependencies within the program and other projects/programs within the Portfolio EPMO and UNSW IT.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, championing professional standards, innovation and professional method.
- Demonstrate understanding of the project's impact (on people, process and technology) within the Domain; Support both business and organisational change whilst managing stakeholder expectations.
- Adhere to the UNSW EPMO project management methodology, standards and templates to ensure projects are managed within a defined, consistent and proven set of rules for project development.
**Skills and Experience Summary**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and extensive relevant experience including significant experience as a Program Manager implementing a business process lead CRM using Project Management methodology such as Prince 2 or Agile
- Proven experience of managing projects through the complete project lifecycle, with the ability to deliver to project estimates plans.
- Extensive leadership experience, with the ability to work through others directing activity through matrix management.
- Demonstrated vendor management skills and experience
- Experience managing complex large-scale programs involving technology, data, process & target operating models
- Master Data Management experience is highly desirable
- Previous experience within the Tertiary Education or Public sector is highly desirable
- Excellent interpersonal skills and high-level ability to establish personal credibility and effective working relationships with IT colleagues, the business and a range of stakeholders.
