- Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a complex business transformation program.
- The program is staffed by a composite team, comprising multiple workstreams of Business and IT Executives, Senior staff, and development teams.
- Ensure clear Roles, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities for the composite team, with some of the development being delivered as Waterfall and some as Agile for the main components of the program
- In conjunction with the PMO, develop an integrated plan to meet the strategic objectives of the stakeholders and ensure that the program is tracking to plan. Ensure that the critical path is clearly identified, communicated, and managed.
- In conjunction with the PMO, ensure that all of the Controls, Reporting, and Governance are in place and commensurate with a program of this size and complexity
- In conjunction with the PMO, develop Progress-Reporting Dashboards for various levels of Management and Governance - particularly progress versus plan (& forecast) for Costs, Milestones, Resources, and benefits
- Define the project deliverables and critical target dates to be reflected in the project plan and ensure that the project plan is adequately resourced to achieve the dates
- Ensure KPIs are tracked & benefits are capable of realisation
- Manage the definition of project scope and objectives
- Manage the resolution and escalation of issues that may impact program objectives being met
- Ensure that high-quality risk management plans are established and mitigating actions are implemented in a timely manner
- Suggest innovative plans and processes improve program functions
- Develop work systems and processes that effectively drive productivity
- Set goals for the programs and track progress, setbacks, and overall performance
- Prepare and maintain budgets and ensure any variance to budget is managed through effective change control processes & Governance
