As Marketing Executive, Brand & Acquisition - AFR you are curious, data-focused and detail-oriented, able to juggle competing priorities and communicate clearly to a wide range of stakeholders. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the brand and acquisition strategy across the AFR (B2C and B2B) alongside the Marketing Lead and Marketing Manager, through the implementation and management of campaigns that grow subscription revenue, deliver exceptional engagement and strengthen brand affinity.
You will work closely with the Financial Review marketing team to understand consumer demand and brand insights, support media planning and ensure best-in-class campaign management. You will work closely with your peers in the digital performance team, as well as your colleagues in the wider Marketing team, to support in the delivery of compelling and impactful campaigns.
This role is responsible for executing the brand and acquisition activity for the AFR brand across consumer and corporate audiences.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- ** Strategy** - Support the Marketing Lead in the development of the annual brand & acquisition strategy for the AFR in line with overarching business objectives. Leaning on customer insight, cultural context, emerging trends, and your strong understanding of our mastheads, you’ll champion an ambitious vision for the brand in market, delivering increased consumer relevance to drive readers through the funnel to conversion and grow brand equity.
- ** Brand Governance**:
- ** Campaign Management** - Working alongside the Marketing Lead & Marketing Manager you will support in the development of the campaign strategy and end-to-end delivery of these through paid, owned and earned media channels, ensuring activity is targeted, engaging and delivers to objectives across the funnel and is underpinned by data.
- ** Media Planning** - Support in the development and delivery of an effective, growth-focused media strategy, leveraging customer insight, best practice, and media planning principles across digital and traditional media. Working alongside the Marketing Lead, you’ll be responsible for managing effective spend across all channels, combining an always-on presence with opportunities to drive incremental impact and engagement with audiences.
- ** Events** - Support key events in line with strategic objectives, with contextually relevant activity and / or presence in order to maintain brand salience and leverage acquisition opportunities.
- ** Agencies & Partnerships** - A natural collaborator, communicator and project manager, you are capable of building strong, long-term relationships with creative, media and research agencies. You will work with multiple agencies and teams to deliver campaign initiatives and are adept at delivering feedback and bringing world-class creative work to market under tight deadlines.
- ** Research & Insights** - Work closely with the Marketing Lead and Marketing Manager to deliver the quarterly reporting and campaign measurement initiatives. You’ll actively leverage data and research to bring customer, brand and category insights together to shape campaign initiatives and identify opportunities to drive growth.
- ** Collaboration**
- Work with the Audience & Acquisition team to deliver on the full funnel marketing strategy for the AFR brand, aligning on shared objectives to support growth through each stage of the customer journey.
- Work hand-in-hand with the Digital Performance team to identify strategic opportunities, leaning on their operational and technical expertise to implement best practice and experimentation initiatives.
- Build strong and open relationships with key internal stakeholders, including peers in the Retention & Engagement team to align on initiatives and objectives.
- ** Budget Management**:
- Support the Marketing Lead in the management of the AFR budget, ensuring timely processing of invoices, accurate data entry and spending in line with forecasts and agreed targets.
