About the role
The Asset Protection Permits Officer supports the Asset Protection and Permits team by provisioning and administering a range of permits for specific aspects of construction and building within the City of Boroondara. Reporting to the Team Leader Asset Protection and Permits, key responsibilities include:
Ensure a customer first mindset with professional, prompt and courteous responses to all enquiries
Respond to and resolve issues raised by customers regarding damage to Council assets
Collect relevant information and maintain our database for asset protection and permits
**About you**:
Demonstrated experience in a similar administrative and customer service role
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to gain cooperation, assistance and compliance from customers and internal and external stakeholders
Strong ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally
Knowledge of the Local Government Act and other relevant legislation, or ability to learn
