**Power Solutions > VPS Region APAC > Power Plant Solutions APAC** The Power Plant Solutions function is responsible for executing the grid scope in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region across the project lifecycle. This position is responsible for overseeing the grid execution activities within the APAC region with a special focus on the Australian and New Zealand business. The primary duties include leading and developing a team of engineering professionals across the region. The grid execution team will primarily support Sales and Construction on grid connection and balance of plant aspects of all projects across the APAC region. The person will lead a team of professional engineers across the region working closely with other cross-functional teams to deliver competitive and compliant solutions, and to our contractual commitments. The role will encompass resource management and their development throughout the sales, construction, and services phases, managing the grid connection and compliance scope across multiple projects. **Responsibilities** Resource Management: Managing the team of Power System Engineers, Specialists, and other professionals who will be directly involved and taking the lead on specific sales and construction projects. Collaborating with the sales and construction teams, ensuring prioritization of projects and allocation of resources and tasks to meet timelines - Project Optimisation: Working in a cross-functional team including sales, construction, technical bid team, procurement, supply chain management, and sub-suppliers to optimize the grid connection and electrical infrastructure for all projects - Process Improvement: Managing and improving the current technical, resource, task, information, and tool processes available within the grid arena for the Asia Pacific business and promoting such improvements globally within Vestas. Taking a lead role to automate the current processes to create effective efficiencies of resources, time, and delivery - Global Network: Working closely with Vestas Global R&D and Global Grid Integration teams to enhance the two-way communication of product capability/ product enhancement potential in relation to grid connection and balance of plant market requirements to meet not only today's needs but the foreseeable future - Team Development: Create and implement a development and mentoring program for the team to enhance the development of the power systems engineers and other professionals to strengthen capabilities and create a greater depth of knowledge, technically and commercially - Contract Negotiations: Leading the team in contract negotiations on sales and construction projects on grid connection and electrical matters to ensure a balanced technically compliant solution through technical, commercial and/or contractual avenues - Industry Participation: Enhancing personal and team active involvement in industry-wide associations within the grid and electrical industry throughout Asia Pacific.
