An exciting opportunity now presents itself for an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager – Off Grid Battery Storage Systems.
This newly created role is pivotal to the business and reports to the Managing Director. There will be the occasional need to travel overseas. Whilst the Head Office is based in Melbourne, we encourage applications from all States of Australia.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE PROVEN EXPERIENCE WITH OFF-GRID BESS.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement the business strategy to enter and build up Battery Storage Product Sales within the region.
2. Develop new channels to market for the DEUTZ battery system products.
3. Establish market share within the battery storage industry.
4. Establish business relationships with new OEMs.
5. Be the Technical Product Champion and offer technical support to external and internal customers.
6. Increase presence in active markets by attending and working at key industry events and exhibitions.
7. Develop advertising, marketing strategies & campaigns with assistance from the DEUTZ Marketing team.
8. Collate competitor data to ensure DEUTZ remains competitive within our target markets.
9. Maintain a good working relationship with manufacturers.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess:
1. SAA Design accreditation for off-grid battery systems.
2. Technical knowledge of off-grid battery systems, including electrical systems.
3. DEUTZ product knowledge/training advantageous.
4. Strategic thinker with short, medium & long-term planning mindset.
5. Technical sales experience in off-grid battery systems for mining, agriculture, and construction sectors.
6. Business acumen/commercial experience.
7. Quotation & tender preparation & costing experience.
8. Advanced level in MS Office & systems.
9. Ability to define & implement strategies to grow the business & meet targets.
10. Motivator to all stakeholders.
11. Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
12. Advanced communication skills, both written & verbal.
13. Problem-solving & prompt issue resolution mindset.
14. Flexible and open to change.
15. Maintain customer service focus at all times.
16. Maintain relationships with internal & external stakeholders.
17. Ability to quickly establish and maintain rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
18. Self-motivation and a genuine desire to succeed.
