The Ski Club of Victoria is seeking a motivated Restaurant Supervisor to work as part of our team in our 100 seat restaurant passionately know as “The Whitt”.

When the snow falls "The Whitt" is buzzing with atmosphere, friends alike and some of the best food on the mountain. This busy 100 seater restaurant and bar is the place to be on Mount Buller.

Open for lunch and dinner, our focus is on classic brasserie style food, fresh produce and a fun and efficient working environment.

We also have a small but busy cafe serving great homemade pastries and house roasted coffee. Its a Mount Buller hot spot and is known for its great coffee and delicious quick bites while you are hitting the slopes.

Experience working in a remote/seasonal environment will be highly regarded.

All applicants must be able to fufill the entire season (jJune-End of September) and must have the right to work in Australia.

Shared accommodation be provided onsite for a discounted fee.

Overview of duties

Responsible for the efficient running of the food and beverage areas to obtain customer satisfaction while meeting the departmental budget.

**Duties**

Ensure efficient, friendly and professional food and beverage service is provided to all guests.

Provide for guests and patrons an experience and environment they feel meets their expectations.

Familiarize yourself with Members and regular guests to ensure their requests and needs are met.

Monitor incoming Restaurant Reservations on a daily basis.

Liaise with customers and Chef/kitchen team to ensure service times are adhered to.

Ensure revenue for the shift is accounted for with cash/charge summary being completed to balance daily activities.

Set up systems to protect and maintain control of restaurant and function equipment, correctly recording breakages and carry our regular stock takes.

Set up and maintain a weekly cleaning schedule for the restaurant and other venues to achieve the highest possible hygiene and cleaning standards.

Ensure all mis-en-place is completed prior to guests arriving.

Ensure staff are competent in all service procedures and they are able to maximize sales to guests.

Ensure guest billing is completed accurately following Hotel procedure and that correct charges are posted.

Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies.

Maintain currency of RSA certification, amendments and updates and adhere to RSA principles.

Co-Ordinate with the Front Office team on Functions and Events

Schedule Staff on a weekly basis with in budget.

Respond efficiently and accurately to customer query’s and complaints.
