**About the role...**

The Team Leader Service Coordination (Team Leader) will ensure that the MiCare current Elder’s quality of life is enhanced through their relationship with MiCare. The Team Leader is pivotal in facilitating this through their commitment to support the Elder living at home to achieve their goals.

The incumbent is front line representative of the organisation with participation in business development activities; including recruitment initiatives, quality processes, staff performance and development. The Team Leader supports team culture, ensures that the Aged Care Quality Standards and Award rostering provisions are adhered to at all times and identifies improvements to Elders and staff

**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain a positive and constructive attitude that promotes confidence in the team
- Provide day to day support and supervision to the Service Coordination team, and Care Workers as required
- Lead the recruitment of suitably qualified Service Coordinators and of direct care staff for in-home support services
- Monitor and maintain the rosters to ensure maximum coverage of shifts.
- Uphold customer service and improve customer experience.
- Encourage internal service referrals to support direct care growth and sustainability

**About you...**

You will be proactive, mature, self-motivated, reliable, possess the ability to exercise good judgement and discretion. You will act with a high degree of initiative and positive approach. You will be professional approach, culturally sensitive and able to adapt to change.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Tertiary education qualification, or relevant experience, within the Community Aged Care Industry/ Disability and evidence of further training and development
- Formal qualifications in Management desirable but not essential

**Skills & Experience**
- Demonstrated knowledge and service coordination
- Solid understanding of the Commonwealth Government Home Care Package program, Commonwealth Home Support Program and Veterans Home Care.
- Understanding of staff development and performance management
- High level administration skills, including data entry, and computer operations
- Competency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Understanding of recruitment practice, including knowledge of Awards and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements
- Experience as a Team Leader or in a supervisory role in a rostering/work scheduling setting
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to prioritise task.
- Well-developed written and verbal skills

**A police check with no disclosable outcome, medicare evidence of current flu vaccination and full COVID-19 vaccination is required by MiCare for this position.**
