Position Summary

The primary activity of the role is faults response, i.e. ATCO receives calls from members of the Public and Emergency Services, and the Control Room Officer is responsible for faults dispatch.

Major Role Accountabilities

Faults & Emergency Response & Customer Service
- Monitors the performance of the gas distribution network and dispatches jobs for appropriate action and resolution.
- Liaises with field staff and accurately updates system information related to notification and permit systems, lone worker processes, and planned and unplanned work.
- Answers and records faults and emergency calls and schedules dispatch of field staff.
- Resolves issues related to faults and customer service
- Monitors network alarms and alarmed assets
- Prioritises all emergency calls providing timely and accurate advice, and coordinates with Incident Managers under the Emergency Management Plan and associated processes.

Education, Experience and Skills
- Ability to work in a rostered 24/7 shift pattern, having a flexible approach to working times.
- Good communication skills (written and oral), including dealing optimally with customer complaints and delivering excellent customer service.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with validated time management skills to effectively deliver multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to find fault.
- Knowledge of SAP and ESRI is desirable
