**What you’ll do**:
The Control Room Team Lead oversees the team's daily operations and manages a 24/7 Control Room, coordinating the dispatch of field crews in response to gas faults, incidents, or emergencies reported by third parties or Emergency Services. This is done by acting as the primary point of contact for team members, focusing on task assignments, providing team support, and serving as a liaison between the team and middle management to ensure clear and effective communication.
- Set and implement team goals and objectives in alignment with overall operational requirements.
- Oversee a team of shift workers responsible for monitoring network performance.
- Manage roster rotations, planned and unplanned leave, overtime, and timesheets.
- Provide emergency leave coverage as necessary to maintain operational continuity.
- Assess the training needs of team members and support their skill development.
- Implement the disaster recovery plan during systems outages, power outages, telecommunications failures, and other emergency events at the Jandakot Operations Centre.
- Coordinate responses to severe weather events and ensure timely reactive fault and emergency responses to maintain network safety.
- Provide detailed summaries and escalations of significant incidents to the Executive Management Team (EMT).
- Address concurrent reactive faults and planned work conflicts by escalating them to the Manager.
- Ensure strict adherence to permit-to-work processes and procedures for authorised access to critical infrastructure.
- Maintain security protocols for high-risk, non-routine major work activities involving gas supply.
- Ensure compliance with safety case requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through established workflows, processes, and procedures.
- Regularly review and update workflows to enhance compliance and efficiency.
- Review unaccounted network alarms and delegate investigation and rectification tasks to the Network Monitoring and Facilities Maintenance teams.
**Skills & Experience**
- Certificate IV or higher in the relevant functional area (preferred)
- Demonstrated expertise in building strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all organisational levels.
- Experience in MS Office (Excel), SAP, LANTIS, Neon, Mitel, Operator Console, Field Mobility (mDrover), and Power BI.
