**About the Centre**
The Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Centre is one of 4 facilities in Boroondara, and is owned by City of Boroondara and managed proudly by The Y. The facility contains a 750m2 Health Club, 3 program rooms, an outdoor 50m pool, indoor pool, café, sauna, and child care services.
**About the Role**
As an Aquatics Coordinator of the Hawthorn Aquatic & Leisure Centre, you will lead a passionate team of Swimming Instructors and Teacher's In Charge to deliver high quality aquatic education programs to the local community. The Coordinator is ultimately responsible for leading the on the ground teacher's to deliver high quality lesson plans that align with industry standards, including building a culture of learning and development through on the job coaching and consistent training.
The Aquatics Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that the designated programs and services are delivered in accordance within Centre operating budgets, objectives and Key Performance Indicators, and driving participation and enrolments into the program.
This position will sit within the Centre leadership team, working in tandem with the rest of the management team to achieve the Centre's overall strategic purpose and objectives through operational excellence. The Aquatics Coordinator will report directly to the Centre Manager.

**Essential Qualifications**
- First Aid certificate
- CPR certificate
- Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety qualification
**Other Desired Qualifications**
- Leadership experience
- Relevant diploma or equivalent
- Sport and Recreation and / or Facility Operations experience
