**About the Centre**

The Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Centre is one of 4 facilities in Boroondara, and is owned by City of Boroondara and managed proudly by The Y. The facility contains a 750m2 Health Club, 3 program rooms, an outdoor 50m pool, indoor pool, café, sauna, and child care services.

**About the role**

As an Aquatic Programs Coordinator, you will lead a passionate team in delivering high quality aquatic education programs to the local community. The Coordinator is ultimately responsible for the delivery of high quality lessons that align with industry standards, including building a culture of learning and development through on the job coaching and consistent training.

The Aquatic Programs Coordinator will ensure that the designated programs and services are in alignment within Centre operating budgets, objectives and Key Performance Indicators, and will drive participation and enrolments into the program.

This position will sit within the Centre leadership team, working in tandem with the management team to achieve operational excellence. The Aquatic Programs Coordinator will report directly to the Centre Manager.

- Have the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
- Have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Have demonstrated conflict resolution skills
- Think creatively with a solution focused approach
- Be approachable and personable, with a customer focused approach to your work

**Essential Qualifications**
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
- Accredited Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (AUSTSWIM or equivalent)

**Other Desired Qualifications and Experience**
- Leadership experience
- Relevant diploma or equivalent
- Sport and Recreation and / or Facility Operations experience
