Well known health client are seeking an experience Purchasing Officer to join their team.
**Your new company**

Our client are one of the most well known, and largest public sector health bodies in Victoria. As a result of growth, they are seeking several experienced purchasing professionals to join their team, based from a state of the art facility in the Western Suburbs.

**Your new role**

Working as a key part of an established and growing supply chain team - you will be responsible for a variety of purchasing, supply chain and contract administration responsibilities.

Key roles and responsibilities will include:

- Processing a high volume of purchase orders for a variety of clinical and non-clinical goods
- Ensuring supply chain and purchasing activities are occurring in a compliant manner
- Assisting stakeholders with sourcing of products
- Supplier relationship management
- Regular reporting to ensure visibility and control is maintained over the purchasing process
- Catalogue management and general process improvement

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you'll demonstrate developed purchasing experience and an understanding of P2P processes end-to-end.

Key skills and capabilities required to be successful include:

- Understanding of purchasing process, ideally within a high volume health or FMCG environment
- An appreciation for appropriate governance and compliance surrounding supply chain and purchasing
- Health sector experience is desirable but non essential
- Excellent Excel skills, with the ability confidently use pivot tables and VLOOKUP
- Knowledge of sourcing and category management principles would be advantageous but non essential
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce or business would be advantageous but non-essential
