Purchasing Officer Melbourne

**Job Description**:
Camatic is Australia's largest and most respected Designer and Manufacturer of Theatre, Cinema, Stadium and Education seating, recognised for its quality, innovation and customer service.

Based in Wantirna South, the organisation has persistent strong demand across Australia and Internationally.

We are looking for a Material Planner to procure goods, services and materials to support business requirements.

In order to be considered for this position you will be required to strive to develop skills which will facilitate the effective performance of duties and allow for contribution to the process of continuous improvement:
Key Requirements

Plan, forecasting inventory to meet customer and production requirement
Monitor material supply flows
Purchase order management
Check and process all written and approved Purchase Requisitions _from_ authorised personnel for non-inventory items
Liaise with existing and potential suppliers to obtain information on delivery capabilities for goods/services required
Maintain consumables lists as required
Manage returns, credits and discrepancies
Optimise production efficiency
Value the importance of DIFOT

Attributes

At least 3 years’ experience in a purchasing position, with exposure to all areas of basic purchasing
Extremely organised with good attention to detail
A good understanding of working with ERP systems
Intermediate level excel
Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principals
Experience working in a project-based manufacturing environment

If you have what it takes to _apply_ your expert industry knowledge in order to recommend change which will strengthen the _work_ capacity and improve productivity and operational efficiency.
