**What this opportunity involves**:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Delivery Manager to join our team in Victoria. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of construction and project management services to our clients. You will work closely with the State Manager, Operations Directors, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality project delivery, adherence to safety standards, and compliance with regulations.
Drive consistency, quality and excellence throughout our services and foster a culture of governance and accountability within the PDS Victoria leadership team.
**An Overview of the role**:
Manage and optimize resources within the VIC team, collaborating with Sales Leads/Bid Team and State Manager
Develop and empower the delivery team, providing mentorship, guidance, and career development opportunities
Collaborate with interstate Delivery Managers and National Operations Directors to maintain consistency and quality across projects
Monitor the market for trends, risks, and opportunities in the operational environment
Contribute to bids and tenders, developing project delivery solutions and managing risks
Collaborate with the Victorian Leadership Team and Commercial Manager to achieve financial targets and drive growth
Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in project delivery
Support change management efforts and ensure smooth integration of initiatives
Conduct project reviews, evaluate contracts, and manage risk mitigation strategies
Monitor service delivery performance and initiate corrective actions where necessary
Promote project delivery successes and foster long-term client relationships
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Maintain data quality standards and resolve errors
Oversee project procurement in accordance with company policies
Manage vendor relationships to meet diversity and reliability expectations
**Sounds like you? This is what we are looking for**:
Qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent
Proven experience in a senior construction or project management role
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and risk management practices in the construction industry
Understanding of building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements in Australia
Experience in commercial negotiations with contractors, suppliers, and consultants
Exceptional leadership and team management skills
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in project management software and BI data analysis tools
