About the role
The purpose of this role is to develop new business, maintain strategic market alliances, planning development for future outcomes with the Senior
Executive Team Members, BID Management Control, develop innovative and alternative construction methods, cost control, mentoring employees and
ensuring the business will achieve financial targets set out in the Business Plan.
The Pre-Construction Manager is responsible for Strategy, OH&S, Business Development, Systems & processes, Culture, Reporting, Human Resources and
Continual Improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Bid Management/ Workflow Process for and (including Tendering & Estimating)
Legal / Commercial / Risk assessment for new business
Design, Planning and Services functions for new business
Procurement Management of Suppliers and Subcontractors for all construction divisions
**Key Function for the Department**: Create high-performing teams, develop efficient systems and risk mitigation, promote the Impero Group
brand and capability to the Market.
**Goal of the Department**: Work with teams to increase sales opportunities. To achieve this, you will need to find potential new customers, present
to them, ultimately convert them into clients, and continue to manage and grow the Pre-Construction Dept to maximise the business outcomes
in the future.
**Versatile Portfolio**: build key customer relationships not only in residential but other areas such as Commercial, Aged Care, Hospitality, Industrial
and Fit-out sectors, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market
conditions.
**Customer Relation & Retention**: manage existing clients and ensure the clients expectations have been delivered with a positive outcome. You
will call on clients, often being required to make presentations on solutions and services that meet or predict their clients’ future needs.
**Business Strategy**: advise and manage the activities of others responsible for developing new business for the company. Strategic planning will
be a key component to this role and to consistently collaborate with all members of the Senior Executive Team.
The Pre-Construction Manager is responsible for providing leadership, direction and management for the following Departments (Direct) and their
associated departments. The Pre-Construction Manager is responsible for ensuring reporting Departments operational functions and KPI’s are
clearly defined and achieved whilst aligning with company objectives.

The Pre-Construction Manager is responsible for providing regular, accurate and reliable reporting of the department providing visibility of
activities both financial and non-financial to achieve the documented targets and goals of the business.
Skills & experience
Construction or building related degree, diploma, or trade background
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an estimator on high-end, luxury residential builds
Proficient in industry building software platforms.
Strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to maintain effective relationships.
Ability to produce building cost estimates to the highest degree of accuracy
