Based in our Mount Waverley Office, this newly created Social Media Specialist plays a key role in enhancing Metricon’s social media presence by creating and delivering high-quality content aligned with the company’s strategic marketing communications objectives. Reporting to the National Social Media and Content Manager and working within the Communications and Engagement Team, this position collaborates closely with state-based marketing stakeholders and other business units to maximise engagement, increase brand awareness, and drive the growth of Metricon’s social media channels.

Reporting to the Social Media and Content Manager, your responsibilities will include:

- Increase awareness, consideration, and preference of the Metricon brand to prospective and existing customers by creating engaging and relevant social media content that aims to inspire, educate, and inform
- Oversee, create, coordinate and deliver the production of story content for Metricon and HomeSolution by Metricon’s Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other relevant channels.
- Actively engage in social listening to identify content opportunities, industry trends, and customer insights
- Create original content, including short-form video, reels, static images, and written copy for social media
- Collaborate with the broader communications and marketing teams to ensure social media content supports cross-channel marketing initiatives
- Support internal teams, including Retail Product, Design, and Sales, to drive content opportunities and engagement
- Track, analyse, and report on social media metrics, including reach, engagement, traffic, conversions, and sentiment
- Produce reports highlighting key trends and actionable insights
- Track and manage the social media budget, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time; and
- Support the Marketing Department with special projects as required.

- Ability to produce clear, engaging, and on-brand copy for social media posts, captions, and messaging
- In-depth knowledge and experience using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar
- Ability to interpret data and social media analytics to inform strategy and optimise content
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills to manage multiple deadlines
- Meticulous attention to quality and accuracy in all work; and
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage with stakeholders across multiple business units.
