**Your new company**

This large government department is in Central Canberra. The department has a focus on developing policies and procedures to enhance Australia. Specialising in world-class research, analysis and advice to inform strategic policy and decision-making.

**Your new role**

Your new role as Executive Assistant will be supporting the Assistant Secretary.

Your day-to-day duties include:

- Managing administrative arrangements for the Assistant Secretary, the branch or project against which you are assigned:

- Provision of secretariat services including preparation, coordination and distribution of meeting papers and minute taking for meetings
- Coordinating and tracking ministerial and secretary workflow for the branch
- Prioritising and tracking tasks (track reports, correspondence and input)
- Managing/reconciling branch/project finances as required by the Assistant Secretary

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role you will be required to have previous experience as an APS Executive Assistant. Demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills while maintaining a strong work ethic and deliver on priorities.

You must be an Australian citizen and possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a Baseline personnel security clearance.
