Exciting opportunity for an experienced General Manager to lead our Utilities HSEQ team
About the Role

Service Stream’s Corporate business unit is seeking a HSEQ General Manager to lead and mentor the HSEQ Team within their area of the business and manage the provision of HSEQ Services to our operational leaders and their teams while providing thought leadership and influence to the business in all HSEQ matters.

This opportunity will suit an experienced, highly motivated and outcome driven individual who has a passion for delivering positive client outcomes both internal and external, and a commitment to effective stakeholder engagement.

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Melbourne/Brisbane

Reporting Line: Group Head of Safety

Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate leadership by role modelling the company values and supporting the business and its people in their demonstration of the Service Stream Group Safety Value
- Promote and support proactive decisions and actions within the business to achieve desired HSEQ outcomes
- Support management in fostering a work environment where people feel confident to raise important issues and stop work and seek assistance when it is recognised or, suspected to be unsafe
- Support and participate in the development and implementation of an integrated HSEQ framework for Service Stream Group that supports the business and its people in meeting duties, managing risk and complying with the law
- Understand the business context, its operations and risks and facilitate risk reviews/assessments as required to identify critical controls and develop relevant Risk Management Standards
- Clearly define and communicate senior leader, supervisor, employee and contractor responsibilities in relation to HSEQ
- Review company HSEQ documentation for compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have extensive senior management experience within a corporate environment. In addition, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

- Prior experience in a similar senior HSEQ role
- Ability to influence, coach and mentor on HSEQ matters
- Experience with implementing strategy and business/HSEQ Management systems
- Understanding legislation and compliance matters
- Understand HSEQ due diligence requirements
- Exposure to the Engineering/Construction/Utilities industries is advantageous
- Well-developed communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
