An exciting opportunity has arisen for a National HSEQ Manager to join Service Stream in our Telecommunications Sector based in, multiple locations
About the Role

Service Stream’s Telecommunications division are currently seeking a National HSEQ Manager to join our Group Safety team. Reporting directly to the General HSEQ Telco Manager, you will be responsible for providing specialist health, safety, environmental and quality management in the development, implementation, measuring & evaluation and reporting on compliance with HSEQ management system. This role will be field focused predominantly, and it is expected that a large majority of the role will be spent collaboratively in the field with contractors, line management and operatives

Location: Multiple Locations, VIC & NSW

Reporting Line: General Manager HSEQ, Telco

Key Responsibilities
- Promotes the Service Stream Group Safety Value, HSEQ Policies and Framework with all stakeholders and actively contributes to the delivery of the overall Service Stream Group HSEQ Strategy and Improvement Plans
- Provides timely advice and assistance to Business Unit Management and Workers in their efforts to discharge their duties, manage risks and comply with the law
- Promotes within the Business Unit, the importance of meeting the performance requirements of the Service Stream Group HSEQ Management and Risk Management Standards
- Is client focused, both internal and external, and facilitate consultation, communication and coordination between all stakeholders on HSEQ matters.
- Provide key support in the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of HSE policies, management plans and associated procedures relevant to the risks
- Actively implement all HSE initiatives
- Conduct regular routine HSE audits programs and inspections
- Complete incident / injury investigations as required
- Assist in monitoring and ensuring organisational legislative and contractual compliance in relation to health, safety and environmental requirements and workplace practices
- Coordinate the return-to-work process
- Ensure that HSE risks related to operation and maintenance activities whether carried out by employees or contractors are properly managed.
- Provide coaching and training to employees as required
- Provide leadership to ensure the highest standard of safety is maintained for all stakeholders at all times.

About You
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role that included people leadership responsibilities.
- Experience in Health and Safety (8+ years), preferably within the infrastructure, construction or mining industries.
- Knowledge and understanding of current WHS legislation.
- Demonstrated experience in subcontractor management.
- Experience in producing high quality incident investigation reports.
- Proven ability to lead and engage with a diverse range of people.
- Knowledge of current rehabilitation and injury management approaches.
- Proven ability and experience in developing/reviewing safety documentation i.e. Risk Registers, SWMS.
- Advanced Diploma of WHS or equivalent
- Incident Investigation Qualified - preferably ICAM Lead Investigator
- Lead Auditor certification in either WHS, Environment or Quality
- Current Australian Full Drivers Licence
