Exciting opportunity to join a State Government Department as a Financial Policy Officer

Our client based the East Perth is looking for a Financial Policy Officer to join their team. Looking for someone to provide financial policy support to the team within this state government department.

**Your new role**

As a Financial Policy Officer, you will be responsible for the current job description:

- Develop implements and evaluates financial and accounting policy
- Assists in developing and evaluating strategies to resolve financial and accounting issues
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and maintain mechanisms for monitoring and reporting compliance with financial and accounting policy requirements
- Develop and maintain mechanisms for communicating financial and accounting policy

**What you'll need to succeed**

Experience in the similar position required but also:

- Experience in researching and analysing financial and accounting policy issues.
- Well-developed planning and organisational skills, with a proven ability to complete tasks on time.
- Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills, with a proven ability to understand complex financial and accounting issues.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex information clearly, concisely, and effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
