WHS Policy Officer needed to join a State Government Department ASAP.

**Your new company**

A State Government Department is looking for a WHS Policy Officer to join their team. This role requires you to work full time hours, on an initial temporary basis.

**Your new role**

As an experienced a WHS Policy Officer your daily duties will include but won’t be limited to:

- Support a colleague from the Work Health and Safety Directorate
- Formulation of Work Health, Safety and Wellbeing strategic plans
- Input and support with the team across existing Strategic projects.
- Emphasis on writing policy tied to the WHS framework.
- Other duties to be performed as required

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate good organisation skills
- State Government experience
- Knowledge in a work health and safety environment with a demonstrated ability to develop policies
- Analytical, organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently maintaining discretion and confidentiality
