**What you will be doing and will be responsible for**:
The Events Coordinator will report directly to the Events Manager and work closely with the wider team to support the delivery of high-quality events that generate new supporters and engage existing supporters of Flinders Foundation.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Support the Events Manager with planning and implementing events.
- Develop relationships with supporters, partners and stakeholders to successfully plan and deliver events.
- Secure items to support event fundraising plans, including auction items and prizes.
- Help develop and maintain event budgets, ensuring events meet and/or exceed agreed financial targets.
- Assist in the development of communications to event stakeholders.
- Coordinate the creation of marketing materials, digital communications and event activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and requirements, as well as organisational policies and procedures.
- Identify and report risks and hazards to the Events Manager and/or Head of Operations.
- Perform all administration tasks associated with the role in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain the integrity of all supporter information in Flinders Foundation’s database, ensuring all records are accurate, comprehensive and up to date.
- Manage the recruitment, onboarding and engagement of volunteers for events.
- Manage use of the systems and online platforms associated with events.
**‘What you look like’ and need to demonstrate to be successful’.**
- 2+ years prior relevant experience in a events role within a fundraising environment or similar business.
- Highly competent in the use of MS Suite Office Applications and Outlook as well as exposure to database software.
- Sound problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships across a highly diverse group of stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to be creative, innovative and flexible and readily accommodate change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Hold a current Driver’s Licence.
- Flexibility to work outside of ordinary hours such as evenings and weekends.
- Passionate about the company vision and values and genuine desire to improve the health of our community.
- Ability to inspire people to support Flinders Foundation.
