**About us**

We are seeking a Technical Support (Installations/Estimations) responsible for technical support services to customers for integrated electronic fire protection/warning solutions and technology systems. The role will work with Detection and Emergency Warning System, Wired and Wireless Detection & Alarm Devices, and Addressable Warden Intercom Systems - including systems installation, maintenance, fault diagnosis, testing and repairs. The role will also provide technical advice support and estimations on fire protection/warning solutions and technology systems for large install projects (eg. residential apartments and commercial buildings).

**Duties**
- Carry out installation, maintenance, diagnosis, fault finding, testing and breakdown repairs on integrated electronic fire protection/warning/alarm solutions and systems
- Consult with client on system requirements, provides system recommendations and cost estimates
- Inspect and test systems to ensure all system components are performing well and comply with safety requirements
- Review installation manuals, building plans and work orders to plan optimal locations for system components
- Identify and repair malfunctions in system components, including ordering and installing replacement parts as necessary
- Compose and submit documentation and reports for each installation or repair visit, complying with company’s standard operating procedure
- Ensure fire alarm systems are compliant with current regulations
- Provide technical support to customers
- Provide estimations for fire protection/warning/alarm solutions on large installation projects (eg. residential apartments and commercial buildings)

**Qualification/ Experience/Skills**
- Qualification and training in Electronic Security and Emergency Systems or Electronics/Programming Technology or equivalent
- 2-5 years experience in diagnosing and fault find fire warning and evacuation systems and alarms across Notifier, Ampac Pertronics FIPs or similar
- Install service and breakdown experience in fire detection, emergency warning/evacuation and emergency lighting
- Experience in fire armed and security industry
- Networking experience with security, CCTV systems or other, desirable
- Technical skills in diagnosing and fault find fire and evacuation systems and alarms
- Strong understanding of integrated fire systems with the ability to perform and report on annual tests of fire systems
- Ability to read drawings and blue prints
- A good understanding and working of Australian Standards (AS1670 and AS1851)
- Willing and capable to carry out diagnosis, fault finding and breakdown repairs on fire protection systems
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to work un-supervised and self-manage stock and equipment necessary to carry out duties

- Have good presentation and work ethic
- Communication skills
