Join us We are looking for a new colleague supporting the Vehicle & Tactical Systems portfolio with a focus on the Protected Vehicle business as a Bid Manager.

Reporting to the Director Bids & Capture VTS, you are in charge of managing a specialist team to deliver considered and compelling solutions to customer problems within a governance framework.

Your day-to-day job requires professional bid management capabilities to be applied including:

- Bring structure, clarity and governance to the process and discipline relating to bid management activities.
- Manage the preparation of prequalification and tender response submissions to customers worldwide with the objective of securing an invitation to bid or winning the contract itself.
- Manage the creation of the bid deliverables and ensuring review and governance, leading to the creation of a high-quality proposal.
- Work effectively with the Capture Leader to generate win themes that address customer problems and needs with defined benefits of the Thales offering.
- Ensure that cost estimates within the target budgets are provided with support from Systems Engineering / Product Management / Project Management and that the costs are effectively reviewed to ensure competitive and winning pricing.

**How About You?**
- 2 - 5 years of Bid Management experience preferably in Defence.
- Used to working in a complex, multidisciplinary, multisite and multinational organisation.
- Can demonstrate the ability to construct solutions that meet the customer need, both commercially and technically.
- Internal and external stakeholder management experience.
- An ability to seek enjoyment in every day.

**Good to Know**

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.

Prior to offer you’ll complete a pre-employment police and medical check. Thales also complies with current public health orders in place and as such you may be requested to provide your COVID-19 vaccination record.
