Context:
SYSTRA ANZ is seeking a dynamic and experienced Bid Manager to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing and delivering strategic, ‘Must Win’ bids across a range of sectors including transport, infrastructure, and defence. As a Bid Manager, you will provide expert guidance and compliance support to functional bid teams, ensuring the successful preparation and submission of high-quality proposals.
Missions/Main Duties:
- Lead the preparation and delivery of bids, including creating detailed Bid Plans, coordinating workstreams, and ensuring compliance with governance and corporate procedures.
- Work closely with Senior Bid Managers and Bid Directors, driving bid teams to meet strict deadlines and produce compliant, high-quality submissions.
- Develop bid templates, graphics, and supporting materials to enhance bid production processes.
- Build strong client relationships, acting as the point of contact for procurement-related activities and attending client debrief/feedback sessions.
- Encourage collaboration and positive team dynamics, setting an example of trust, integrity, and constructive leadership.
- Manage bid teams, ensuring roles are clearly defined, and guide junior staff, interns, and trainees as part of the bid process.
Profile/Skills:
- A post-secondary qualification in Business Administration, Project Management, Communications, or a similar discipline.
- 3-4 years’ experience in a multi-disciplinary technical environment, with exposure to transport, infrastructure, or defence sectors.
- Proven experience in coordinating deliverables from multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex bids.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and detailed bid documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
- A positive and proactive approach to leadership and team collaboration.
