Our client is a respected professional services organisation with a strong reputation across Government, Banking, Telco, Utilities, and Not-for-Profit sectors, and a culture built on collaboration, integrity, and belonging.
The Bid Manager plays a critical role in securing new business by managing the development of high-quality bids, tenders, and proposals. Sitting within the Professional Services Practice, the role ensures knowledge, capability, and methodologies are embedded into compelling submissions, while partnering with the Industry Team to tailor responses to client needs and market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full bid lifecycle, from kick-off through submission, ensuring compliance, quality, and client focus.
- Coordinate consultants, subject matter experts, and industry leads to deliver compelling, outcomes-driven proposals.
- Translate technical methodologies into persuasive narratives tailored to client needs.
- Build and maintain a central library of collateral (capability statements, case studies, CVs, methodologies).
- Leverage AI and automation to streamline drafting, re-use, and knowledge capture.
- Partner with practice and industry teams to align proposals with client priorities and procurement requirements.
- Act as the central point of coordination between consulting expertise and sales opportunity.
- Coach and support consultants and sales leads on effective proposal writing.
- Embed governance processes including bid/no-bid decisioning, quality reviews, and compliance checks.
- Track performance metrics (win/loss rates, pipeline impact) and drive continuous improvement across bid processes, templates, and tools.
Your Impact
- Strong experience in bid management or proposal development in professional services/consulting.
- Ability to use AI and proposal automation tools to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Excellent facilitation skills, bringing together consultants, technical experts, and sales leads.
- Strong written communication, able to convert complex consulting concepts into clear, persuasive client language.
- High attention to detail with strong project management and organisational skills.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in bids, proposals, or professional services operations.
- Exposure to AI-driven content development and knowledge management tools.
- Understanding of professional services methodologies and sales processes.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
