The External Financial Adviser (EFA) and Distribution channel provides an excellent opportunity for UniSuper to deliver a superannuation and pension solution for advisers which allows them to service their clients with a market leading investment solution in a cost-effective manner.

**THE ROLE**

This role is to support the Head of Distribution and Regional Managers to establish and maintain relationships with licensees and advisers to influence them to utilise our Superannuation offering with their clients which will contribute to the growth we are seeking to achieve in this key distribution channel.

Furthermore, as our new Business Development Associate, you will:

- Represent UniSuper in the EFA and Distribution channel: Foster trust in the UniSuper brand and proposition, and support the sales process for Advice Licensees approving and recommending UniSuper on their Approved Product Lists (APLs).
- Support and maintain relationships: Assist the Head of Distribution and Regional Distribution Managers in completing licensee agreements and due diligence. Manage the dedicated UniSuper Advisor Relationships inbox for adviser adoption and resolve licensee and adviser queries through UniSuper’s internal processes.
- Analyze and report adviser data: Assess needs and preferences to assist in asset retention, prepare internal sales reports, and ad hoc reporting. Maintain client information in the CRM system.
- Coordinate marketing and events: Work with Marketing to prepare for industry, licensee, and adviser conferences, handle follow-ups, and coordinate logistics like booking flights and accommodations for the distribution team.
- Ensure compliance and governance: Adhere to Trustee Obligations, Governance requirements, and provide input on technology and system performance. Assist in preparing business plans, sales pitches, presentations, and other relevant documents.

**ABOUT YOU**

We seek an individual with high energy, a positive and can-do attitude, and a passion for problem-solving and creative thinking. Additionally, some sales experience, ideally within the External Financial Adviser channel, is desirable.

Furthermore, you will have:

- Proven experience working within a business development team within financial services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly listening and empathy
- Strong attention to detail and ability to efficiently prioritise and manage multiple tasks through to completion
- Retirement income, Superannuation & Investments knowledge preferred
- Defined benefit and accumulation superannuation fund knowledge preferred
- Financial Advice process knowledge preferred
