What we are looking for
- Experience in business development, broking, banking or sales within the residential lending sector, preferably with a non-bank lender .
- Mandarin speaker.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, with the ability to establish rapport with mortgage brokers and aggregators.
- Strong network of residential brokers and aggregator groups desirable.
As an Associate Business Development Manager, you will work alongside our Senior BDM/National Partnership Manager to manage a portfolio of mortgage brokers. You will liaise with, educate and develop brokers and their employees so they have sufficient skills and product knowledge to enable them to introduce a high volume of well packaged and compliant finance applications on behalf of their customers to Brighten.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, accurate advice and support to brokers to ensure their experience in dealing with Brighten is exceptional.
- Educate brokers on Brighten products and processes to enable applications to be submitted to Brighten in an accurate and timely manner.
- Grow new business through the identification and acquisition of new referral partners and introducers.
- On the road with Senior BDM/National Partnership Manager to conduct brokers training.
- Follow up pipeline applications to make sure brokers have a smooth experience through to settlement.
- Develop positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful, you will have the following attributes:
- Fluent in Mandarin
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in mortgages, broking or lending & sales. Non-bank mortgage experience would be desirable.
- Cert IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking or Diploma in Finance & Broking desirable
- Consistent history of high performance in a sales and/or account management role.
- Strong presentation delivery (in person and virtual) to large and small groups.
- Ability to work autonomously with excellent time management skills.
- Professionally presented, outgoing personality and ability to have a laugh.
