Business Development Associate
to join our growing global sales function. This role is ideal for someone early in their sales career who is motivated, highly organised and eager to support a team that works with some of the world's most influential boards.

2. About This Role
2.1 Why We're Hiring a Business Development Associate
As BoardOutlook continues to grow globally, we are expanding our sales support capability. The Sales Associate will play a critical role in qualifying opportunities, supporting outreach, ensuring CRM accuracy and enabling events. This role offers strong exposure to enterprise sales processes and is a stepping stone for growth into senior sales positions.
2.2 What Your First Six Months Will Look Like
In your first 6 months, you will:
- Support pipeline development by researching and qualifying opportunities in assigned segments.
- Assist with preparation for client meetings, including proposals and sales collateral.
- Maintain
100% CRM accuracy
in HubSpot for all assigned leads and interactions. - Shadow at least 20 client meetings and pass a product/value proposition knowledge check.
- Support event enablement: process attendee data and follow-ups within 48 hours of each event.
- Contribute to outreach by sending tailored follow-up messages and assisting with targeted campaigns.
3. About You
We're looking for someone who is early in their career but demonstrates strong potential and drive.
You will bring:
- 1–2 years of experience in sales, business development, or client-facing support (professional services experience is ideal).
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort with CRM tools (HubSpot experience desirable).
- A collaborative approach, with a desire to support colleagues and contribute to shared goals.
5. Location
Our offices are based in Melbourne. The role is hybrid with three days a week required in office to collaborate with the team.
6. Compensation
Our compensation package for this role is $80k inc. super. We also offer a generous ESOP (share option) grant for permanent employees. The ESOP gives employees meaningful financial participation and upside in the success of the business.
7. Hiring Process
Our hiring process is designed to test three things:
- Capability to deliver on the role requirements.
- Approach and drivers, explored through interviews and references.
