**Job Summary**:
The Administrative Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Administration Department and its staff. The role involves a variety of tasks, including data entry, document management, office administration, and general clerical duties.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Data Entry**:
- Accurately input and maintain data in various databases and systems.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency.
- **Document Management**:
- Organize, file, and retrieve documents in both physical and electronic formats.
- Maintain a well-organized and efficient filing system.
- **Office Administration**:
- Manage office supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate office maintenance and repairs.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Assist with travel arrangements and expense reimbursements.
- **General Clerical Duties**:
- Prepare and distribute documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Answer phone calls and provide information to callers.
- Schedule appointments and meetings.
- Assist with event planning and coordination.
- **Administrative Support**:
- Provide administrative support to the Administrative Manager and other department staff.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience in a higher education institution.
- Familiarity with Australian administrative procedures and regulations.
