The Role:
As a Team Leader, you will oversee staff in five extremely remote locations across Western Australia. Your main responsibilities will be to support Youth Development Officers and Anangu Support Workers in delivering high-impact and engaging programs. You will be a key player in overcoming challenges and resource limitations, ensuring that our programs continue to flourish.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to youth workers of various levels to deliver impactful programs.
- Utilize monitoring and evaluation skills to assess the success and challenges of our programs and make data-driven improvements.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and planning to identify opportunities that meet the needs of young people in the region.
- Manage, supervise, and lead staff to create a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Coordinate with other services and teams to maximize resources and overcome challenges.
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships to leverage benefits for young people.
- Create bespoke solutions to support young people’s education and pathways to gain employment.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

- Experience as a youth worker or in a similar role.
- Ability to thrive in a constantly changing and challenging environment.
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to different situations.
- Proficiency in compiling reports and effectively articulating program success and challenges.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to overcome barriers for program success.
- Experience working in the region or similar contexts, understanding how to effectively support change.
- Previous experience supervising or leading teams
- Ability to work with Leadership team and executive team to manager program delivery in the state and support wider organisation impact.

Location and Travel:
This role is preferably based in a remote indigenous community or Alice Springs, with a minimum of two weeks of travel each month. As a Team Leader, you will have the opportunity to engage directly with young people in their communities and make a significant impact on their lives.

n addition to this, we offer a generous remuneration package, an above award salary, salary packaging benefits, 32 days of annual leave, 15 days of personal leave (to care for you and your family) and a retention bonus. We also provide NPY Women’s Council accommodation and use of a company vehicle whilst living remote and travelling.
