Introduction

We are seeking a Payroll Officer to join our payroll team. You will be responsible for end to end processing of weekly payroll for 200-300 employees and supporting with payroll administration. In this position, you will report to the Payroll Manager.

This position will be based in our west Perth office.

You will join a small yet mighty team. Our team culture is all about working precisely but together. We have our own areas to manage yet help each other whenever necessary. The members in our team are located in Perth and Newcastle.

What you’ll do
- End to end processing of weekly payroll for 200-300 Employees.
- Process Payroll in iChris Payroll System using Kronos Interface.
- Updating and maintaining payroll records and reports.
- Liaising with staff and management on payroll related queries.
- Interpreting awards/agreements and contracts in relation to overtime, shift allowances etc.
- Undertaking required reporting, both internal and statutory reporting.
- Payroll administration - setting up new starters.
- Calculation and payment of termination payments.
- Processing increases and calculation of back pays.

Who you are
- 1-2+ years’ experience in Payroll processing.
- PAYG & Payroll Tax knowledge for all Australian States.
- Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) knowledge.
- Payroll system experience in iChris (Chris21) & Kronos is desirable.
- Intermediate - Advanced Excel skills & strong Office 365 skills.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills both written & verbal for both internal and external stakeholders.
- As well, the ability to relate to a variety of customers & ability to handle difficult customers.
- High focus on accuracy, attention to detail and responsive to tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, positive attitude & desire to learn and develop.
- Ability to work within a team environment
