The Housing Growth and Commercial Development Branch has a VPS4 Project Support Officer role available across the Community Housing and Commercial Development Units. The role contributes to a variety of complex projects at the development, delivery, business case and transaction phases for new social and affordable housing.The Project Support Officer will be responsible for supporting key transactions, administrative and monitoring activities required to execute funding agreements, undertake financial analysis of proposals, processing of payments and contributing to risk and issue management, establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, participating in and facilitating meetings, and preparation of a range of project documents including business cases and support for other investment decisions.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
1. Contribute to the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:
(a) Assisting in research, analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.
(b) Supporting the development and delivery of projects or sub-projects and their successful delivery and completion within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
(c) Contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.
2. Where responsible for overseeing, monitoring or delivering projects, ensure they are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.
3. Assist in providing advice to stakeholders and assisting in the preparation and presentation of reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on a range of matters.
