About the Role
The Retail Data Management - Initiative Lead is responsible for the strategic development and leading the effective execution of a multi-phase program to improve data risk management to achieve a broad range of customer and business objectives, including meeting obligations to regulators and creating a baseline of highly trusted data for Critical Operations and High Impact Processes for ANZ Australia Retail.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Data Risk Management Expert with proven Complex Project/Program Delivery expertise.
The role will be accountable for working across the ANZ Retail Division, with Enterprise and vendor partners to ensure the successful delivery and embedding of a program of work to enhance data risk management through a balanced approach across customer experience, risk and commercial outcomes

What will your day look like?
As the Retail Data Management Initiative Lead, you are accountable for:
**Data Risk Management**: Improve data risk management for prioritized regulatory reporting and end to end process that have been identified as High Impact across ANZ Australia Retail (High Impact Processes - HIPs).
**Program Management**: Oversee and manage the program stream, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and deliverables.
**Customer Impact Analysis**: Develop holistic insights on customer outcomes & impacts
**Stakeholder Engagement**: Actively engage with ANZ stakeholders, including accountable executives and governance forums, to ensure project success.
**Change Management**: Driving business and cultural change to ensure data management accountabilities are deeply embedded & sustainable in BAU operations.
**Compliance**: Ensure compliance with internal ANZ approval processes related to data impact, security risk and Project/Delivery Frameworks
What will you bring?
To be successful in the role, you will ideally have the following experiences, knowledge, and skills:
Understand and have proven ability in the data risk and quality assertions and the principles outlined in APRA’s CPG 235.
Manage relevant stakeholders across the 3 lines of defence in a Bank, harnessing and leveraging the relevant roles and responsibilities of each of the lines to achieve effective outcomes.
Understand at a high level, the way in which product systems, warehouses and risk systems interact and the typical controls, particularly data controls, that would be expected across these areas
Proven experience in leading project teams and collaborating with executive stakeholders in a data/risk environment.
Proven experience driving and embedding business and cultural change for sustained risk management uplift.
Demonstrated expertise in the development lifecycle, including defining business requirements, solution design, testing against these and dependency management.
Ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholders, and make sound judgements
