Data & Reporting Analyst
to join our amazing Planning Team

About the role:

The Data & Reporting Analyst – Retail Planning is responsible for collecting, analysing, and reporting data to support strategic decision-making within the Retail Planning department. This role ensures data integrity, develops insightful reports, and provides actionable recommendations to optimize inventory, sales, and merchandising strategies.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Collect, analyse, and interpret retail sales, inventory, and forecast data to support planning decisions.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau
  • Collaborate with planners, buyers, and supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels and sales performance
  • Support demand forecasting and replenishment strategies by providing historical data analysis and predictive modelling
  • Identify inefficiencies in reporting processes and recommend automation opportunities
  • Ensure Master Data accuracy, consistency, and integrity from input to output by implementing validation, cleansing, and integration processes. Collaborate with stakeholders to define standards, monitor data quality, and continuously improve governance practices to maintain reliable, high-quality data across systems.
  • Work with closely with our IT team to improve data flow and reporting capabilities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, finance, and operations, to support business objectives
  • Present findings and insights to senior management, ensuring clear and actionable communication

About you:

  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or a similar role, preferably within a retail environment
  • Experience with retail planning systems, ERP, or POS data
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field (Advantageous)
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and reporting tools
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and analyzing large datasets
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy

These full-time positions offers the opportunity for a passionate and experienced Data & Reporting Analyst to join a fast-paced, highly dynamic planning team and environment and to help support and contribute towards the growth and trajectory of our planning efforts. This is a very exciting time to join the company as you will be part of a large, experienced and super-fun team, working 5 days in the office on St Kilda Road with access to lots of public transport, cafes near by and with dogs in the office – this is a role not to be missed
