**As our Procurement Support Officer, you will**: - Provide analysis and coordination of purchasing, procurement and contract activities. Knowledge and experience with the procurement/contract management lifecycle. Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of the Contract Management Framework. Provide input and maintain systems and procedures that provide effective procurement and contract management support for NRIFAEP, Biosecurity Queensland, seeking opportunities for continuous improvement demonstrating public service professionalism and probity. Prepare and present written plans, documentation and contracts that adhere to departmental protocol. Provide advice and assistance on requests and issues relating to procurement and purchasing activities, consulting or referring requests to your line manager or Business Manager when appropriate. Prepare procurement and purchasing documentation in accordance with the Queensland Procurement Policy. Ensure timely and accurate creation and variation of purchase orders and vendor creation for NRIFAEP projects. Monitor status of purchase orders and expenditure, highlighting contentious issues to line manager along with recommended course of action for current procurement and contracts. As a team member, contribute to team performance and engage staff to build procurement and contract management capability within Biosecurity Queensland. Develop and maintain positive relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders including Corporate Finance and Procurement and Procurement Services to facilitate effective procurement outcomes.Essential requirements
