**The Opportunity**
We are on the hunt for a dynamic Procurement Officer who will lead end-to-end sourcing and category management initiatives, providing expert procurement and contract management advice to deliver commercially effective solutions for VicGrid. Working as part of a small team, this role will drive best practice, engage stakeholders across the organisation, and support business improvement initiatives with strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. **What you will deliver**
- Prepare tender documents, evaluate tenders, negotiate, and award contracts, providing guidance on evaluation processes and systems.
- Deliver end-to-end procurement and contracting services across diverse goods, services, and construction categories, ensuring compliance with frameworks.
- Provide business partnering and procurement advisory services to internal stakeholders.
- Manage procurement and contract management records to ensure probity, accountability, and audit readiness.
- Contribute to reporting frameworks by identifying data needs, collecting and analysing data, escalating issues, and proposing solutions.
**What you will bring**
- Tertiary qualification in commerce, business management, law, finance, procurement or relevant discipline and/or extensive relevant experience in a similar role.
- Extensive experience in procurement in a commercial, government or other large organisational settings.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in advising on complex goods and services contracts, with excellent ability to analyse data to support decision making, reporting and compliance monitoring.
- Demonstrated capability to successfully develop/execute business improvement strategies and initiatives, identifying opportunities for optimisation, and implementing best practices
