Hays are currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer within the private sector

**Your new company**

Our client are one of the leading players within the telecommunication industry and known for their customer centric approach, innovation and extensive network.

As a part of this organisation, you will be supporting multiple business units in commercial planning and deliver procurement activities, located in the central of Melbourne.

**Your new role**

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the Procurement Officer will be responsible for supporting tender management/procurement processes and operate in line with the framework and competitive forces.

Key roles and responsibilities will include:

- Ensuring that services are delivered by vendors to conform with the contractual arrangements and monitor vendor performance (SLA) reporting and periodic performance / contract / SLA reviews
- Work closely with the business to support the implementation of projects, as required
- Providing support with the P2P process and Contract Hub
- Ensuring outsourced services are delivered to contractual arrangements

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you'll come with two to three years’ experience within the procurement space and the ability to co-ordinate multiple streams of work at once.

Key skills and capabilities required to be successful include:

- Demonstrate initiative and confidence with a “can do” attitude
- Conceptual and analytical ability skills to reason through problems
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in P2P systems and SharePoint document management systems is desirable
